The BTAN Launch: Fall in Love with Blackness 

Join Black Transformative Arts Network for an exciting event celebrating the beauty and richness of Black culture in Pittsburgh! The BTAN Launch: Fall in Love with Blackness will occur at the August Wilson House (1727 Bedford Ave 15219) on Saturday, Oct 21st, 4-6:30 pm. 

Get ready to immerse yourself in a vibrant atmosphere filled with music, art, and inspiring conversations. This is your chance to connect with like-minded individuals, meet our Creatives in Residence, and learn about the fantastic work BTAN has lined up. 

“Fall in Love with Blackness” with them as they relaunch and introduce you to and celebrate their amazing Creatives in Residence, five dope Black artists & creative educators Crystal Noel Jalil, Lois Toni McClendon Melannie Carter, Carmella Jones, and K’aijah Gomez. 

Win10 Catering will provide yummy small bites, and TLC Libations will provide complimentary cocktails, mocktails, and drinks (2-drink limit).

One of Pittsburgh’s finest DJs, DJ FEMI, will be spinnin,’ we’ll have performances by our lovely host, Diarra Imani, and Live from the City Jordan Howard and live art from youth artist and educator, 14-year-old Destiny Folks of Rising Artists LLC. Come through and sip, eat, vibe, and connect with some Black creatives.
