The August Wilson African American Cultural Center proudly presents Hip-Hop Camp: My Name My Place Street Art and Graffiti Workshop for the second year. Educator DS Kinsel @dskinsel will lead these sessions. This camp will educate students on the history and significance of graffiti art and its role in Hip-Hop Culture, Black History, and Public Art. Students can use their creativity to explore this topic and create their temporary street art project and tag name. Registration includes two sessions that will take place at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center on October 7th and November 4th in our studio. The class is designed for students 10 to 16 years of age, and class size will be limited to ensure all students receive proper instructions to achieve their goals. All students will receive an AWAACC swag at the first session.
Scholarships are available. If interested, please send an email to Cathryn Calhoun at [email protected].
