This Week In White Supremacy 1HOOD presents Jasiri X in discussion with Yusef Salaam of the Exonerated Five and City Councilman Khari Mosley. The interviews explore their individual journeys from wrongful accusations to achieving political aspirations. During the discussion, they address racial injustice, prison reform, resilience in the face of adversity, and their personal journeys towards political involvement.

Yusef Salaam is a member of the Exonerated Five and now serves as councilman for District 9 in Harlem, New York City and Khari Mosley, serves as councilman for District 9 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Both men were wrongly accused of crimes and share their experiences navigating the justice system, persevering through their trying circumstances, and emerging into leadership roles in their respective communities. Salaam reflects on his wrongful conviction, the transformative journey from the Central Park Five to the Exonerated Five, his religious faith, and his work as an advocate while Mosley discusses his own ordeal in Michigan that led to his exoneration and eventual ascension to city councilman, sharing key experiences and impactful lessons learned, alongside commentary on his resilience and dedication to public service.
