Next Level Stanza is a poetry event organized by Vernard Alexander and Treble NLS in partnership with 1Hood Media. The intention is to celebrate the dope spoken word poets that Pittsburgh has to offer. The night will consist of performances from select poets and music from DJ N808 and Anita Levels Band. Treble NLS will serve as the Host of the event.
Vernard Alexander and Treble NLS are passionate about ensuring that Artists (specifically Spoken Word Artists) are compensated for sharing their gifts. They saw a gap in how poets are commonly treated at events and wanted to ensure that each poet was treated like a working artist and fairly compensated for their time and energy. This show is the first of its kind in the Pittsburgh region and most likely will not be the last.
