CEA’s Workforce and Development Construction Training Program Now Open

Community Empowerment Association (CEA) addresses the economic obstacles of the community, such as employment, home financing, and wealth building. They provide access to job and career opportunities by training individuals, partnering with Pittsburgh area employers, and hosting job fairs.

Classes are now open for their construction training program. If you have little or no experience in the construction trades and would like to begin a career as a construction laborer, then you will benefit from the training program. It comprises several levels of hands-on and classroom instruction, allowing trainees to perform many types of work. In addition, each participant receives OSHA 10 certification. Upon completing this program, participants should be prepared to qualify for apprentice training, enter a trade program, start their own business, or work with existing contractors.

CEA has trained over 500 residents to be ready, able, and prepared to work on construction projects in the East End.
