The CrocBall received its name after the popular nursing shoe, Crocs. Nurses dress in formal attire but adorn their feet in Crocs to represent their profession.
The CrocBall aims to provide scholarships for nursing students who are accepted to or attend an accredited nursing program. The Calvin W. Richardson scholarship is given to students the night of the event.

Also, feel free to watch this video about the wonderful work of the Freedom House. Our scholarship is named after Mr. Richardson, who was a member of the Freedom House paramedic service, a registered nurse, and studying to become a physician assistant before his passing.
