This special episode of Power Hour is the ‘Coalition to Reimagine Public Safety’ Town Hall Meeting featuring Leon Ford of Leon Ford Speaks, Michelle Kenney of Antwon Rose II Foundation, Robert Saleem Holbrook of Abolitionist Law Center, Dominique Johnson of Center for Policing Equity, Tim Black of Cahoots, Nikkita Oliver of Decriminalize Seattle/ No New Youth Jail, Shaun Glaze of Decriminalize Seattle, and Vinne Cervantes of Denver Alliance for Street Health Response. The Alliance for Police Accountability (APA) and 1Hood Media will host the first Coalition to Reimagine Public Safety town hall meeting on Monday, March 15, 2021. The purpose of the Coalition to Reimagine Public Safety initiative is to create a community-led approach to public safety by creating models of intervention and prevention to reduce incarceration and police contacts in Black and Brown communities throughout Allegheny County.
