Mac vs. PC

There really is no comparison, when it comes to comfort, ease of use, flexibility, expandability and not to mention, cool, with a capital "C" the Apple IBook is it!  But the fact is we live in a PC dominated world, so before you run out and get yourself a Mac, like I did, check to make sure that you understand what that decision really means.  For instance, if you are using it for work, make sure that your network can handle cross-platform networking?  Or, is you are using a certain kind of software, can it be run on Mac OS?  For example, I use Arc View GIS and turns out there is no version for Mac.  So, yes, Macs make PC's seem useless, but it remains a PC world!  So think about that before your make the switch.....they never tell you that on those Apple commercials!  Though all and all, I am a convert through and through, Mac OS for life!

Im a Mac user, which means I have a whole suite of iLife programs iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, iBand - better known as Garage Band, etc... I would love to see a way to integrate some of those programs specifically, iMovie, iPhoto and iTunes into the Media Manager.

That could include a quickie way to take the html generated by iPhoto and fit it into "the Mambo way," or having a small box in the menu column that says "iTunes is playing "title" by "artist" on "CD/Album Title" and, if available, shows the Cover Art of the song Im listening to at the time - even better, a way to stream my iTunes through Mambo I know... RIAA   , or a "video of the week" segment that collects videos Ive collected uploaded, or better, created and uploaded, with archival of said videos of the week.

Just a dream... but I am a NOTHING when it comes to code... the last thing I ever wrote was in dBaseIII... that tell you anything???
